About

I am a senior interdisciplinary major at Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland. I study English, Art History, and Art. For my senior thesis I am examining the Menstrual Cycle in the West, particularly the US and from the 60s onwards, and its representation in literature, art, and advertising.

This here is where I will keep track of my findings.

I was inspired to start this project when I began to seriously ask myself why tampons and pads weren’t free in public toilets like toilet paper and found there was no reason other than oppressing women’s bodies, silencing their experiences, and making more and more money. Here is a link to a small campaign I started in the UK and hope to start again in the US. https://www.facebook.com/groups/freefromfemininehygiene/
